The food is good but the wait can be long! The bar is inside and the inside doesn't have any ambiance (at all!!) Better to go during off peak times.

This is a wonderful local restaurant with a great view The chef is very .innovative with a creative menu. This is not your typical Fish Shack. 2 for 1 entrees on Mondays during the off-season is an exceptional deal. As for plastic utensils...The Canal Cafe is on the CANAL so it seems only logical that it is environmentally conscious. Good decision.

I bring my own silverware! I agree, the plastic is awful. Waitress told me because they are on the canal their water usage has to be kept low.

The spot is cute, food is decent but for the price to eat with plastic forks and knives turned me off. $96 for 3 people with no alcohol?

My favorite place to eat on a nice afternoon. The atmosphere, food and staff are all great. I love their veggie rolls! They have a full bar too!

Fun place to go on the weekend. Hard to find it in the dark ,so be persistent if you miss the sign the first time down the block. It's always crowded. I agree that the sweet potato fries are great -- and I like them with the crab cakes. A real treat! Nice location right on the canal. For the price though, it would be nice to get real silverware rather than plastic.

One of my fave out-of-the-way spots. Excellent food overlooking the canal. Lobster roll is to die for!

absolutely delicious. try the lobster roll; it's served on the best bread you'll ever have; add the sweet potato fries, and it doesn't get much better than that!
